semanticinsight.tech is operated by OptimalResume.com, Inc. ("we," "us," or "our") as a labor market research practice serving higher-education institutions, workforce boards, and state agencies. This policy explains how we handle information when you visit the site, request a complimentary Pathways Analysis, or engage us for paid research and compliance work.
Key commitment: The personal information we collect is limited to what you provide through our inquiry forms or — for existing account holders — what's required to maintain authentication. We do not collect, store, or have access to payment card information. We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties.

For existing account holders accessing the platform's authenticated pages, we retain a hashed credential and a Supabase user record sufficient to maintain that login. We do not collect phone numbers, mailing addresses, dates of birth, Social Security numbers, or any other personally identifiable information beyond what's listed here.
For paid research and compliance engagements, we work with institutional data that is generally already public — IPEDS Unit IDs, CIP codes, metro areas, program inventories — combined with our own analysis of regional employer postings. We do not collect student-level data, employee personal data, or confidential institutional records as part of standard engagement work. If a custom engagement requires non-public institutional data, the handling of that data is specified in the engagement letter and treated under confidentiality.
Invoices for paid engagements are processed through Stripe, Inc., a PCI Level 1 certified payment processor. We never see, receive, or store your payment card details. Stripe handles all card processing, receipts, and billing inquiries in accordance with their Privacy Policy.
Our underlying analysis pipeline processes job posting text from public sources, evaluates it semantically against O*NET occupational standards, and stores the resulting structured analysis. Job posting content is sourced via Google Jobs search results. The pipeline does not include any personal information about site visitors or engagement partners in posting queries.

Each provider is subject to their own privacy policies. We select providers with strong data handling practices.
All data transmission uses HTTPS/TLS encryption via Cloudflare. Access to the site is restricted to the United States at the network level. Our API requires authentication, implements rate limiting, and validates all inputs to prevent malicious content including XSS and injection attempts. Stored user data is protected by row-level security. Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text.
Inquiry form submissions and email correspondence are retained as long as needed for engagement coordination and as required for normal business records. Existing account data is retained for the life of the account. If you wish to delete an inquiry, account, or other associated data, contact us at the address below.
